Three tehsil hockey teams reach semifinals of inter-tehsil competition
FAISALABAD, Sep 09 (APP):Hockey talent from across Faisalabad came under the spotlight as teams from six tehsils battled for supremacy in the Inter-Tehsil Hockey competition organized by the District Sports Department while the teams of Tehsil Saddar, Tehsil City and Tehsil Jaranwala secured places in the semifinals.
District Sports Officer (DSO) Sajida Lateef said that hockey teams representing all six tehsils participated in the competition and demonstrated strong sporting spirit and competitive skills during the matches.
She said that teams of Tehsil Saddar, Tehsil City and Tehsil Jaranwala have qualified for the semifinals after their performances in the preliminary stage.
According to the schedule, the semifinals and final of the competition would be played on Thursday (September 10, 2026) where the participating teams would vie for a place in the title clash and ultimately the championship trophy, she added.
