PESHAWAR, Sep 09 (APP):Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Sohail Afridi on Wednesday took serious notice of an incident involving protests, clashes and alleged police violence against students at Hayatabad Postgraduate College of Nursing.
The CM said no one would be allowed to take the law into their own hands and directed that those responsible for the incident be dealt with according to law.
“Students of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa are our children, and the provincial government will take every possible step to protect their rights and serve them,” Sohail Afridi said.
Meanwhile, Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) Peshawar Mian Saeed also took notice of the incident and removed the concerned DSP and SHO from their posts.
According to an official notification, SSP Investigation has been appointed as inquiry officer to investigate the incident and determine the facts surrounding the alleged use of force against students.
The inquiry will examine allegations of police violence during the protest and establish responsibility in accordance with the law.
