Bannu Gul City development works to gain pace, landowners assured of redressal

PESHAWAR, Sep 09 (APP):Director General Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Housing Authority, Zahid Khan, on Wednesday directed officials to expedite development work on Bannu Gul City and resolve the legitimate concerns of landowners affected by the project.
He issued the directives while chairing an open forum convened to review the progress of the housing scheme and hear complaints of local landowners.
Zahid Khan said Bannu Gul City would emerge as a major modern residential project for Bannu and other southern districts, creating new opportunities for development and improving the region’s prospects.
He ordered officials to accelerate work on key infrastructure, including the main entrance, roads and boundary wall.
He also reviewed progress on the proposed modern cardiology hospital, which would provide specialised healthcare facilities to people from the southern districts.
The DG said the authority would protect the legitimate rights of landowners and take practical steps to address their genuine grievances.
Earlier, Assistant Director Technical Inam Wazir briefed the DG on the progress of development works, administrative matters and various components of Bannu Gul City.
Additional Deputy Commissioner Bannu Umar Khattab Gureki, Director Administration Amanul Haq, Director Technical Imran Hilal and other officials attended the open forum. Bashir Ali Shah Al-Hashmi, brother of MNA Maulana Syed Naseem Ali Shah, also participated.
Landowners expressed hope that the authorities would implement the directives and complete the ongoing development works within the stipulated timeframe.
