Rescue 1122 responds to 456 emergencies in 24 hours

MULTAN, Sep 09 (APP):Rescue-1122 Multan responded promptly to 456 emergencies across the district during the last 24 hours, providing emergency services to 461 affected persons, according to official rescue statistics released on Wednesday.
Of the total emergencies, 107 were traffic accidents, making road crashes one of the major categories of incidents handled by the emergency service during the period.
The data showed that 264 medical emergencies were reported, while Rescue 1122 also responded to 14 fall-related incidents, three fire emergencies and six crime-related emergencies. A total of five deaths were also reported during the period.
Rescue teams shifted 191 injured and affected persons to hospitals for further medical treatment, while 220 people were provided initial medical assistance at the scene.
