FBISE announces HSSC 2026 results
ISLAMABAD, Sep 09 (APP):The Federal Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (FBISE) on Wednesday announced the 2026 annual examination results for grades 11 and 12, recording a pass percentage of 65.31 per cent in the first year and 85.95 per cent in the second year, with top positions secured by students from institutions in Rawalpindi, Islamabad, Gujranwala, Karachi and Lahore.
According to the results announced by the Federal Board, students from medical, pre-engineering, science general, commerce and humanities groups secured the leading positions in the Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSSC) examinations.
In the medical group, Amara Azhar of Army Public School and College Girls, 208 Humayun Road, Rawalpindi Cantonment, secured first position with 1,079 marks.
Muhammad Jahanzeb of Punjab College of Science, Blue Area, Islamabad, stood second with 1,078 marks, while Syeda Iman Fatima of Army Public School and College, Gujranwala Cantonment, secured third position with 1,076 marks.
In the pre-engineering group, Rameen Arjumand of Army Public School and College Girls, Pasban, Rawalpindi, secured first position with 1,075 marks.
Zainab Sami of Army Public School and College, Gujranwala Cantonment, stood second with 1,076 marks, while Ansa Fatima of Copes College, Wah Cantt Campus, GT Road, Wah Cantt, secured third position with 1,068 marks.
In the science general group, Abdullah Azhar of Punjab College of Science, Blue Area, Islamabad, secured first position with 1,063 marks.
Hayan Azhar of Defence Forces Public School and College, Rawalpindi Cantonment, stood second with 1,059 marks, while Hadiya Zakria of Punjab College Group of Colleges, Hill Campus, H-11/4, Islamabad, secured third position with 1,056 marks.
In the commerce group, Aqsa Farooq of HCCS Educational System Girls Campus, Dhoke Mustaqeem Road, Rawalpindi, secured first position with 1,051 marks.
Her college-mate Aiza Afzal stood second with 1,047 marks, while Amna Asif of Punjab College, Jinnah Campus, Islamabad, secured third position with 1,046 marks.
In the humanities group, Iman Fatima of Army Public Degree College, Malir Cantonment, Karachi, secured first position with 1,007 marks.
Amna Azhar of Islamabad Model College for Girls, F-6/2, Islamabad, stood second with 1,003 marks. Raja Yahya bin Fazil of IMCB H-9, Islamabad, and Umair Raza of F.G. Degree College, Aziz Bhatti Road, Lahore Cantonment, shared third position with 1,002 marks each.
Addressing the results ceremony, FBISE Chairman, Dr Ikram Ali Malik, briefed Federal Minister for Education, Dr Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, on the board’s examination system and congratulated the position holders on their achievements.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Siddiqui congratulated the successful students and said that talented Pakistani youth had earned recognition around the world.
He emphasised the importance of acquiring skills in addition to formal education, saying the country’s young population had the potential to meet its needs and contribute to national development.
The minister urged students to continue working hard for the betterment of the country.
He also praised the FBISE chairman and his team for ensuring transparency in examinations, inspections and the selection of examiners and markers.
“Today’s real guests of honour are our students, particularly those who have achieved outstanding results,” the minister said, adding that the day would remain a memorable moment in their lives.
