KP Governor honors nurse Razia for saving baby in PIMS nursery fire

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Faisal Karim Kundi on Wednesday honored Nurse Razia Noreen for saving a baby during the recent fire incident at the nursery of Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS), presenting her a cash award of Rs100,000 and a special shield.

ISLAMABAD, Sep 09 (APP):Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Faisal Karim Kundi on Wednesday honored Nurse Razia Noreen for saving a baby during the recent fire incident at the nursery of Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS), presenting her a cash award of Rs100,000 and a special shield.
The award was presented at a ceremony held at the Governor House in Islamabad. Minority leader Samuel Pyara and PIMS Deputy Chief Nursing Shazia were also present on the occasion.
Speaking at the ceremony, Governor Faisal Karim Kundi said compassion for humanity was the hallmark of the nursing profession. He paid tribute to Nurse Razia Noreen for demonstrating courage and dedication during the tragic incident, saying her brave act deserved appreciation and recognition.
“The entire Pakistani nation pays tribute to Nurse Razia for her exemplary role,” he said.
The governor said the courage and sense of responsibility demonstrated by the nurse reflected the spirit of humanity and professional commitment.
