Two persons die in road mishap in Nowshera: Police

PESHAWAR, Sep 09 (APP):A fatal collision between tractor-trolley and cargo dumper near Azakhel Payan in Nowshera district on Wednesday left two persons dead and three seriously injured.

Police and Rescue 1122 officers said two ill-fated people were killed and three injured in a collision between a tractor-trolley loaded with bricks and a cargo dumper near Azakhel Payan on GT Road in Nowshera.

According to district emergency officer Rescue 1122 Nowshera, Malik Ashfaq Hussain, as soon as the Rescue 1122 control room in Nowshera received information about the accident, ambulances, a disaster and rescue vehicle, and teams were immediately dispatched to the scene and began relief operations.

Three people had become trapped inside the cargo dumper as a result of the accident. Demonstrating professional expertise, the disaster rescue teams used hydraulic cutters and modern rescue equipment to safely extricate all three individuals from the dumper.

The bodies of two people who had died after being trapped inside the dumper were retreved. The injured were provided with first aid at the scene and subsequently shifted to a hospital for further medical treatment.

The deceased were identified as Javed, aged 50, a resident of Kundaron, and Fawad, aged 25, also a resident of Kundaron.

Overspeeding was the major reason behind the fatal mishap.
