ISLAMABAD, Sep 08 (APP):A VEON and JazzWorld leadership delegation, led by Kaan Terzioglu, CEO of VEON Group, and Aamir Ibrahim, CEO of JazzWorld,  Tuesday met with Shaza Fatima Khawaja, Federal Minister for IT and Telecommunication, to discuss Pakistan’s digital transformation, 5G expansion, telecom sector sustainability, and opportunities to accelerate digital adoption.
The delegation also included Kazim Mujtaba, President, Jazz GSM; Syed Zaheer Mehdi, Chief Corporate and Regulatory Officer, JazzWorld and Mudassar Hussain, Head of Public Policy and Regulatory Affairs.
The delegation appreciated the government’s continued efforts to advance digital governance and connectivity, including the recent spectrum auction, which has strengthened the foundation for further investment and 5G expansion.
 The discussion also explored opportunities to create a conducive policy environment that supports sustainable investment, innovation, quality of service, and wider access to digital services.
“Pakistan remains one of VEON’s most important markets, and we see significant potential in its young, increasingly digital population,” said Kaan Terzioglu, CEO of VEON Group. “The progress being made on digital governance and connectivity is encouraging. A predictable and investment-friendly policy environment can unlock greater private investment and innovation, enabling JazzWorld to contribute at greater scale to Pakistan’s digital economy.”

The leadership also discussed the importance of strengthening the overall digital ecosystem, expanding connectivity, and enabling greater adoption of digital technologies across consumers and businesses.
The delegation highlighted the need to ensure that continued investment in 4G and 5G translates into improved network quality and meaningful digital experiences for customers.
The meeting reaffirmed VEON and JazzWorld’s commitment to working closely with the government and other stakeholders to support Pakistan’s digital transformation, encourage continued investment in connectivity and technology, improve quality of service, and advance inclusive digital growth.
