RAWALPINDI, Sep 08 (APP):Fatima Jinnah Women University (FJWU) is exploring opportunities for joint research initiatives, faculty exchanges, and international academic linkages following Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Bushra Mirza’s participation in a strategic information visit to Germany.
Dr. Bushrs Mirza joined a high-level delegation of Pakistani higher education leaders, organized in collaboration with the Higher Education Commission (HEC), to engage with German research organizations, technology hubs, and policy institutions in Berlin and Cottbus, says a press release.

During the visit, the Vice Chancellor participated in strategic dialogues with key funding and academic bodies, including the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD), the German Research Foundation (DFG), and the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation (AvH), to discuss potential channels for institutional collaboration and scholar exchanges.
The delegation also conducted institutional engagements with BTU Cottbus-Senftenberg, Charité  Universitätsmedizin Berlin, the German Aerospace Center (DLR) and the Berlin School of Economics and Law.
Additional sessions at Technology Park Adlershof focused on observing Germany’s innovation and technology ecosystems, alongside diplomatic briefings at the Federal Foreign Office and the German Parliament.
According to university spokesperson, the engagements aim to build long-term international academic links and open collaborative research and training avenues for FJWU faculty and students.
