CM Balochistan emphasizes strengthening of education sector on World Literacy Day
QUETTA, Sep 08 (APP):Chief Minister Balochistan, Mir Sarfraz Bugti, in his message on World Literacy Day, said that literacy was not merely the ability to read and write but the foundation of a brighter future for children, social progress, and a prosperous society.
He highlighted that the Government of Balochistan has prioritized education, taking practical steps to improve the system and revive schools across the province.
Sarfraz Bugti noted that over the past two years, more than 3,800 inactive schools have been reactivated and 768,000 out-of-school children have been brought back into the education system.
He added that under the Balochistan Education Foundation, more than 2,000 new schools have been established, while projects for an additional 1,800 schools and construction of 3,000 classrooms in existing institutions were underway.
The Chief Minister emphasized that education was not just a sector but the fundamental means of building the province’s future.
He reaffirmed the government’s commitment to ensuring that no child in Balochistan was deprived of quality education and that the younger generation was empowered to contribute to a prosperous and capable society.
