LAHORE, Sep 06 (APP):The Punjab Chief Minister’s Inspection Team conducted late-night surprise inspections of DHQ Hospital Okara and THQ hospitals in Depalpur and Chichawatni, where it found complaints of overcharging at a hospital parking facility and deficiencies in civic services.
During the inspection of THQ Hospital Chichawatni, the team received complaints about excessive parking charges and directed cancellation of the parking contract and registration of a case against those responsible.
The team also took notice of stagnant rainwater and non-functional streetlights in various areas of Okara district.
Based on the inspection report, Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif expressed displeasure and sought immediate explanations from the deputy commissioners of Okara and Sahiwal districts.
The chief minister also directed the authorities to immediately initiate reconstruction of the dilapidated Depalpur Road.
