Defence Day: Horticulture Agency decorates Murree Road
RAWALPINDI, Sep 06 (APP):The Horticulture Agency Rawalpindi on Sunday has made special arrangements for decoration, beautification and public awareness along Murree Road in connection with Defence Day.
Banners carrying messages highlighting the significance of Defence Day have been displayed at various locations along the major thoroughfare. Special lighting and decoration arrangements have also been made along the green belts and main road.
The Agency has also undertaken cleanliness, plant trimming and other beautification activities to promote the spirit of patriotism and national unity among citizens.
Managing Director Horticulture Agency Rawalpindi Ahmed Hassan Ranjha said that Defence Day reminded the nation of the invaluable sacrifices rendered by the armed forces and martyrs of Pakistan.
He said that special measures were being taken to beautify major roads and parks across the city on national occasions, adding that the arrangements along Murree Road aimed at reflecting the spirit of patriotism.
The Managing Director directed the concerned officers and staff to ensure cleanliness, proper maintenance of green belts and decoration at Murree Road and other important locations.
He said that the Horticulture Agency would continue its efforts to make Rawalpindi greener, cleaner and more beautiful.
