QUETTA, Sep 05 (APP):Chief Minister Balochistan, Mir Sarfraz Bugti, on Saturday has reaffirmed his government’s commitment to women’s empowerment, declaring that while terrorists aim to tie the future of young girls to violence and destruction, the provincial government is determined to connect their future with education, skills, employment, and prosperity.
In a statement on social media platform X, Bugti welcomed the completion of training for 600 women under the Women Entrepreneurship Development Program, describing it as a significant step toward economic independence for women in the province. He noted that 100 women have already launched businesses with financial support, calling it “a practical reflection of the government’s resolve to empower women economically.”
Sarfraz Bugti emphasized that the government’s vision was not limited to skill development but extended to providing resources and opportunities for women to establish their own enterprises and lead dignified economic lives. “We want every daughter of Balochistan to hold knowledge, skills, and employment in her hands — not explosives,” he said.
He contrasted the government’s efforts with the destructive agenda of extremist elements, who attempt to exploit young girls as suicide bombers. “Terrorist elements want to link our daughters’ future with devastation and violence, while the Balochistan government is striving to connect their future with education, skills, employment, and prosperity,” Bugti asserted.
The chief minister stressed that empowering women is not only about their personal progress but also about building stronger families, a stable society, and sustainable economic growth. He pledged to expand training, financial assistance, and entrepreneurship programs to reach more women across the province.
Sarfraz Bugti concluded that Balochistan’s women were talented and capable, needing only opportunities and resources to transform their potential into economic strength. “Providing women with dignity, independence and prosperity is our responsibility and we will fulfill it,” he said.
