ISLAMABAD, Sep 03 (APP):Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) Police carried out grand combing and search operations in five areas of the federal capital, checking 101 people, 67 houses and dozens of vehicles as part of enhanced security measures.
An official told APP on Thursday that the operations were conducted on the directions of the Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad in the jurisdictions of Ramna, Koral, Nilore, Tarnol and Bani Gala police stations.
During the operations, police teams checked 101 people and 67 houses, besides inspecting seven shops.
The teams also checked 75 motorcycles and 17 vehicles as part of the security exercise.
Of the motorcycles inspected, 12 were shifted to the respective police stations for further verification.
ICT Police urged citizens to cooperate with police teams during checking and immediately report any suspicious activity to the police./APP-rzr-mkz
