SHCC to investigate allege indefinite healthcare service in private hospital, Nazimabad

KARACHI, Sep 02 (APP):The Sindh Healthcare Commission (SHCC) has received a complaint through an official letter from the SSP Central regarding an investigation into complaint about alleged indefinite healthcare services in private hospital’s gynecology ward at Nazimabad.

According to the press release issued, the letter requests SHCC’s support in probing the mystery surrounding the incident. As a quasi-judicial forum, SHCC has mandated to conduct independent inquiries into such matters related to healthcare establishments.

The Commission will constitute a technical board comprising on senior medical experts to carry out a thorough investigation evaluate the evidence, record the statement of both parties and concern staff and witnesses and prepare findings and recommendations that will help unfold the mystery of the missing newborn. In accordance with the Sindh Healthcare Commission Act-2013, the final report is to be concluded within 120 days. However, SHCC will make every effort to complete the investigation and submit its findings as soon as possible.

Following the safety and confidentiality protocols any information related to complainants, witnesses, and other parties shall be kept confidential and shall not be disclosed to the public at any stage of probe.
