C-14 infrastructure complete, plot possession process begins
ISLAMABAD, Sep 02 (APP):The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has completed basic infrastructure development in Sector C-14, while work on electricity supply has entered its final stage, according to a briefing given to CDA Chairman and Islamabad Chief Commissioner during his visit to the sector on Wednesday.
The CDA Chairman Sohail Ashraf reviewed the progress of development works and was informed that possession of developed plots had formally begun to be handed over to allottees. The process of providing possession to the remaining allottees was also under way.
Officials said installation of light poles along the sector’s main roads and signboards on roads and streets had been completed. Landscaping and horticulture work along the main roads was in progress.
The CDA chairman directed officials to complete all remaining development-related works on a priority basis and remove hurdles affecting the sector’s development.
He also ordered that the process concerning the remaining plots be expedited to facilitate allottees and avoid unnecessary delays.
He said timely development of new residential sectors was important alongside mega projects to meet Islamabad’s growing housing requirements.
He directed officials to ensure that possession of plots was handed over to allottees at the earliest.
Later, the chairman visited the Sangjani Interchange and inspected ongoing construction and development works.
He reviewed progress at different parts of the project and received a briefing on the pace of construction and its completion targets.
He directed the concerned officials to accelerate work while ensuring construction quality and adherence to the prescribed targets.
The chairman also ordered regular field monitoring of development projects and called for timely resolution of issues through coordination among the departments concerned.
Senior CDA officials, including members of Building, Estate and Administration, the director generals of Works and Infrastructure, Chief Officer Metropolitan Corporation Islamabad and Deputy Commissioner Islamabad, accompanied the chairman during the visits.
