Horticulture Agency takes measures to maintain beauty, greenery of Rawalpindi
RAWALPINDI, Sep 02 (APP):The Horticulture Agency Rawalpindi is actively carrying out landscaping, plantation, plant maintenance and cleanliness activities across parks, green belts and major roads of the city to make Rawalpindi greener, cleaner and more attractive for citizens.
On the special directives of Managing Director Horticulture Agency Rawalpindi Ahmed Hassan Ranjha, daily horticultural and cleanliness activities are being carried out at Qari Khushi Muhammad Park, including watering of plants, pruning, grass cutting, removal of dry branches and maintenance of green areas.
According to the agency, sanitation staff are also engaged in daily cleaning of the park, including removal of garbage, dry leaves and other waste. Special attention is being given to walking tracks, seating areas and other public spaces to provide visitors with a clean and pleasant recreational environment.
The agency said that maintaining parks and green belts was among its key priorities as greenery not only enhanced the beauty of the city but also contributed to improving air quality and reducing environmental pollution.
Field staff are regularly monitoring the condition of plants and trees, while irrigation, trimming, pruning and other horticultural activities are being undertaken according to seasonal requirements.
The Horticulture Agency has appealed to citizens to cooperate with the authorities by avoiding littering and refraining from damaging plants and flowers in parks.
The agency said horticultural and cleanliness activities would continue across various parks, green belts and major roads of Rawalpindi to further improve the city’s green spaces and recreational facilities.
