RAWALPINDI, Sep 02 (APP):Ambassador of Uganda to Pakistan, Twaha Matata has called for bilateral economic bridges with Pakistani entrepreneurs during a high-level interaction at the Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce & Industry (RCCI).
The envoy, accompanied by Additional Foreign Secretary (Africa) Hamid Asghar Khan, met with RCCI leadership to chalk out roadmap for expanding bilateral trade, joint investment ventures and private-sector ties between both nations.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed range of opportunities in various sectors, and shared views on identifying means to further strengthen trade ties.
Welcoming the delegation along with Senior Vice President Khalid Farooq Qazi and Vice President Fahad Barlas, RCCI President Usman Shaukat emphasized that establishing direct business-to-business linkages and joint ventures is essential to translating diplomatic relations into tangible commercial gains.
Discussions centered on identifying high potential export sectors, streamlining trade channels and positioning Rawalpindi’s industrial base to tap into emerging African consumer markets.
Addressing on the occasion, RCCI President Usman Shaukat reaffirmed the Chamber’s institutional commitment to spearheading economic diplomacy, providing active facilitation to local exporters, and building sustainable commercial partnerships across the African continent.
