Rescue 1122 Murree responds to over 3,700 emergencies, assists 4,033 victims during August
RAWALPINDI, Sep 01 (APP): Punjab Emergency Services Department Rescue-1122 Murree responded to 3,754 emergency calls and provided timely emergency services to 4,033 individuals across Murree District during month of August.
According to the monthly performance report issued by District Emergency Officer Rescue 1122 Murree, emergency teams provided on-site first aid to 2,076 victims and safely shifted 1,654 injured or sick individuals to nearby health facilities after initial stabilization.
Report showed that out of the total calls received by the Command and Control Room, emergencies included 2,697 medical calls, 236 fall injuries, 229 road traffic accidents, 12 deceased transfers, nine physical altercations, five fire incidents and three drowning cases. Authorities confirmed that 28 individuals lost their lives in various accidents across the district during the month.
Under the Patient Transfer Service operating across Murree and Kotli Sattian, Rescue 1122 shifted 275 critically ill patients from local health institutions to specialized tertiary care hospitals in Rawalpindi and Islamabad during the month. Emergency officials reiterated that frontline units remain fully equipped to handle medical, road, and environmental emergencies round the clock.
