GIMS to hold Rapid Trauma Response Workshop on Sept 10
SUKKUR, Sep 01 (APP): The Gambat Institute of Medical Sciences (GIMS) Trauma Academy will organise a high-impact Rapid Trauma Response Workshop on September 10 to build capacity for life-saving trauma care in Sindh.
According to GIMS’s Media Consultant Jamil Haider on Tuesday, the workshop, themed “When seconds count, skills save lives”, is designed to equip healthcare professionals with critical skills required for emergency trauma response.
The workshop will be held at Green Hall, College of Physicians and Surgeons Pakistan (CPSP), GIMS Gambat, from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm.
Director GIMS, Capt (Rtd) Dr Raheem Bux Bhatti will be the chief guest on the occasion, while Head of Liver Transplant & Hepatobiliary Surgery and Regional Director CPSP, Prof Dr Abdul Wahab Dogar will be the guest of honour.
The course will be led by Course Director Dr Peer Asad Aziz, Head of Robotic Neurospine Surgery at GIMS.
The expert faculty includes Dr Sajjad Hussain Bhatti, Head Robotic Arthroplasty and Director Rapid Trauma Response; Dr Hamid Laghari, Consultant Liver Transplant & HBS; Dr Usama, Chief Anaesthetist, Liver Transplant & HBS; Dr Junaid Hussain, ORL H&N Cochlear Implant Surgeon; Dr Mohsin Mumtaz, Head Oral Maxillofacial Surgery; and Dr Sahito Khan Rind, Assistant Professor, Anaesthesia Rapid Trauma Response.
Officials said the initiative is part of GIMS Trauma Academy’s ongoing efforts to strengthen emergency and trauma care systems and train frontline healthcare workers across Sindh.
