LAKKI MARWAT, Sep 01 (APP):Two militants were killed in a joint intelligence-based operation conducted by police and the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) here on Tuesday in Shah Hassan Khel are.
According to a police statement, the targeted operation was carried out at night within the jurisdiction of City Police Station.
The operation was led by the DSP Lakki Marwat, with the participation of the City SHO, CTD personnel and members of the local peace committee of Village Council Baigukhel.
During the operation, the police team effectively responded to the militants, resulting in the killing of two terrorists.
One of the deceased was identified as Mubashir, son of Aslam Khan, who was wanted by CTD Bannu in four cases involving murder, attempted murder, terrorism and bomb blasts. The identification of the second deceased militant was still under way.
Inspector General of Police Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Zulfiqar Hameed appreciated the Lakki Marwat police and CTD teams for the successful operation and elimination of the dangerous militants.
He reiterated the police force’s resolve to deal firmly with elements threatening peace and to continue efforts to eradicate terrorism for the sustainable maintenance of law and order in the province.
