PESHAWAR, Aug 31 (APP): The Video Journalists Forum presented a commemorative souvenir to President Peshawar Press Club (PPC), M. Riaz in recognition of his nomination for the prestigious civil award of `Tamgha-e-Imtiaz’ by Government of Pakistan.
During the general body meeting of the Peshawar Press Club here on Monday, President Video Journalists Forum, Bilal Ahmad presented the souvenir to M. Riaz on behalf of the forum and paid tribute to his four decades of valuable journalistic services and commitment to the profession.
On the occasion, Bilal Ahmad also presented a resolution before the general body in recognition of M. Riaz’s services. The resolution was unanimously approved by the members of the Peshawar Press Club.
The resolution stated that M. Riaz’s nomination for Tamgha-e-Imtiaz was a recognition of his four decades of journalistic services, professional commitment and contributions to the field of journalism, as well as his efforts for the welfare and rights of working journalists through the platform of the Peshawar Press Club.
It termed the nomination for the national civil award a collective honour for the entire journalistic community of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The general body congratulated M. Riaz on the recognition and expressed best wishes for his continued success and further contributions to journalism and the welfare of journalists.
