Government wheat flour supplied at fixed price in Kolai Pallas

KOHISTAN, Aug 31 (APP): The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government is continuing the supply of quality wheat flour prepared from government wheat to residents of the remote and mountainous district of Kolai Pallas at the officially fixed price.
District Food Controller Kolai Pallas Shujaat Shah said a 20-kilogram bag of government wheat flour is being sold across the district for Rs2,520.
He said the daily government wheat quota for Kolai Pallas had been increased to 20 metric tons in view of the requirements of the local population.
Shujaat Shah said that the quota is equally distributed between the district’s two operational flour mills. According to the Food Department, both mills are grinding their allocated quota in full and producing around 700 bags of 20-kilogram government wheat flour daily.
A distribution network of approved flour dealers has also been established in both tehsils to ensure an organized and transparent supply. A total of 25 flour dealers have been approved by the Deputy Commissioner, Kolai Pallas.
The Food Department is conducting regular inspections of flour mills and dealers to monitor the grinding of government wheat, quality of flour, sale at the fixed price and fair distribution among consumers.
District Food Controller Shujaat Shah said monitoring and inspection activities would continue to ensure uninterrupted availability of quality government wheat flour to the people of Kolai Pallas at the officially fixed price.
