Agricultural and other chemicals group imports grew 11.15 %

Agricultural and other chemical croup imports into the country during the first month of the current financial year grew by 11.15 percent as compared to the imports of the corresponding period of the last year.

ISLAMABAD, Aug 31 (APP):Agricultural and other chemical croup imports into the country during the first month of the current financial year grew by 11.15 percent as compared to the imports of the corresponding period of the last year.
During the month of June 2026, agriculture and other chemicals  worth $1.098 billion were imported as compared to the imports of $893.823 million of the same month of the  last year, according the data of the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics.
Meanwhile, 67,810 metric tons of fertilizers worth of $64.843 million were imported during the firs month of the current financial year as compared to the imports of 71,096 metric tons valued at $42.229 million of the same month of the  last year.
Over 3,630 metric tons of pesticides worth of $19.743 million as compared to the imports of 1,958 metric tons worth of $14.001 million of the same period of the last year.
The import of the pesticides into the country during the month of July, 2026 decreased by 18.03 percent as compared the imports of the same month of the last year.
Over 213,516 metric tons of plastic materials costing $325.171 million were also imported as compared to the imports of 231,314 metric tons worth of $271.947 million of the same month of the last year.
The plastic materials imports into the country during the period under review grew by 7.79 percent as against the imports of the same month of the last year.
