RAWALPINDI, Aug 30 (APP): Police have put in place comprehensive security arrangements at churches across the city on the directives of City Police Officer (CPO) Hassan Mushtaq Sukhera.
Senior police officers are remaining present in the field to personally monitor security arrangements and ensure effective deployment of personnel at churches.
Police officials are ensuring that worshippers undergo complete body searches before being allowed to enter the churches as part of enhanced security measures.
CPO Hassan Mushtaq Sukhera directed police personnel to ensure the safety and security of people visiting churches for worship and to treat them with courtesy and respect.
He said all available resources were being utilized to protect the rights of minorities and maintain law and order in the city.
The CPO further emphasized that security measures should be implemented effectively while ensuring that worshippers do not face unnecessary inconvenience.
