Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Operations Islamabad Qazi Ali Raza said the Alternative Dispute Resolution Committee (ADRC) is helping citizens settle disputes through dialogue and mutual understanding while saving their time and resources and strengthening trust between police and the public.

ISLAMABAD, Aug 30 (APP): Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Operations Islamabad Qazi Ali Raza said the Alternative Dispute Resolution Committee (ADRC) is helping citizens settle disputes through dialogue and mutual understanding while saving their time and resources and strengthening trust between police and the public.
He expressed these views while addressing the annual ceremony of the ADRC in Islamabad as the chief guest.
An official told APP on Sunday that the ceremony was attended by senior police officers, ADRC Chairman Tayyab Nawaz Malik, committee members and representatives of civil society.
Qazi said the ADRC provided an effective platform for the peaceful settlement of citizens’ disputes, with mutual understanding, dialogue and consensus forming the basis of its dispute-resolution mechanism.
He said the committee offered citizens an accessible way to resolve disputes amicably instead of allowing disagreements to prolong and consume their valuable time and resources.
The SSP Qazi said the ADRC was also helping strengthen police-public trust by bringing different segments of society together to address citizens’ concerns.
He said peaceful settlement of disputes promoted tolerance, brotherhood and positive social attitudes, contributing to greater harmony within society.
Qazi described the ADRC as an effective example of community policing and public service, where police, community representatives and other stakeholders worked together to resolve issues through dialogue.
He appreciated the efforts of ADRC Chairman Tayyab Nawaz Malik and committee members and expressed the hope that the committee would continue playing an effective role in dispute resolution and community service.
The SSP reiterated that Islamabad Police remained committed to providing citizens with timely, accessible and dignified services, adding that measures to strengthen community policing and facilitate peaceful settlement of public disputes would continue.
