Punjab Assembly to take up 5 key bills, annual reports on Aug 31

LAHORE, Aug 29 (APP): The Punjab Assembly Secretariat on Saturday issued the agenda for the session scheduled for Monday, August 31, at 2pm, with Speaker Malik Muhammad Ahmad Khan in the chair.
During the session, relevant departments will respond to members’ questions concerning housing, urban development and public health engineering. Oral replies to attention notices listed on the agenda will also be given.
The House will also take up adjournment motions concerning various departments for discussion.
Annual reports of the Ravi Urban Development Authority (RUDA) and the Lahore Central Business District Development Authority (LCBDDA) for 2022-23 will be laid before the Punjab Assembly.
In addition, annual reports of the Punjab Danish Schools and Centers of Excellence Authority and the Punjab Curriculum and Textbook Board for different years will be presented before the House.
According to the agenda, five bills will be presented for consideration and approval: the Punjab Center of Excellence on Countering Violent Extremism (Amendment) Bill 2026, Punjab Judicial Academy (Amendment) Bill 2026, Punjab Food Safety Laws (Amendment) Bill 2026, Anti-Terrorism (Punjab Amendment) Bill 2026, and Punjab Asset Management Authority Bill 2026.
