Governor Balochistan stresses education, skills, and merit to empower youth

QUETTA, Aug 29 (APP): Governor Balochistan Jaffar Khan Mandokhail has emphasized the need to provide young people with quality education, modern skills, and employment opportunities, noting that the province’s youth possess immense potential to move forward if guided in the right direction.

Speaking to a youth delegation at the Governor House Quetta, Jaffar Mandokhail said that a comprehensive strategy is essential to address the specific psychology of young people and the demands of the 21st century. He underscored that without ensuring merit, it is impossible to gain the trust of the public, particularly the younger generation.

Highlighting efforts to amplify the voices of Pakistan’s youth on the global stage, the Governor recalled his participation in the Youth and Artificial Intelligence Summit organized by the Youth International Organization at the United Nations Headquarters in New York. He stressed that it is vital to showcase the hidden talents, aspirations, and dreams of Balochistan’s youth to the world.

Jaffar Mandokhail described young people as equal partners in all spheres of life, not just the architects of the future. He said practical steps are being taken to eliminate despair, provide dignified employment, and ensure access to modern opportunities. Addressing unemployment, he explained that new programs are being designed to make youth skilled, self-reliant, and capable of generating employment, rather than merely job seekers.

He noted that investment is being made in public sector universities to deliver quality education and modern training programs, including professional courses, online IT training, and medical diploma programs, preparing youth for emerging opportunities both locally and globally.

The Governor urged young people to discover their hidden abilities, prioritize the pursuit of knowledge and skills, transform patriotism into practical service, and play an active role in the development of the nation.
