MULTAN, Aug 29 (APP): The Punjab Food Authority (PFA) wasted 1,000 litres of adulterated milk found at different locations in the district.
An official spokesman said in a statement that three milk dealers were fined a total of Rs90,000. The action was taken at Shah Jamal, Chowk Qureshi and DG Khan Road after checkpoints were set up to check milk-carrying vehicles.
The milk was tested on the spot through an electronic meter, which revealed a clear deficiency of essential ingredients and nutrients. The milk dealers also failed to produce any record of the purchase and sale of the milk to the PFA team.
