Federal Ministers call on Sindh Governor

KARACHI, Aug 28 (APP): The Governor of Sindh Syed Muhammad Nehal Hashmi met Federal Minister for Petroleum Ali Pervaiz Malik, Federal Minister for Railways Hanif Abbasi, Minister of State Khel Das Kohistani, Fahad Haroon and other important personalities at Governor House.
He appreciated the uninterrupted supply of petroleum products in the country despite difficult circumstances and the energy crisis, and praised the efforts of Federal Minister for Petroleum Ali Pervaiz Malik.
Federal Minister for Petroleum Ali Pervaiz Malik said that all stakeholders had extended full cooperation to the Ministry of Petroleum to ensure the availability of petroleum products during challenging circumstances.
Federal Minister for Railways Hanif Abbasi informed the meeting that construction of the 480-kilometre railway track from Karachi to Rohri would begin next year. He said Pakistan Railways would soon start transportation of fuel, automobiles, minerals and LPG. He further said that 11,000 tons of coal from Thar are being transported daily to the main grid through Pakistan Railways.
The meeting was also attended by the Consuls General of Saudi Arabia, Oman, Qatar and Kuwait, Parliamentary Secretary for Petroleum, Federal Secretary Petroleum, Inspector General of Sindh Police, Chairman of Port Qasim Authority, Managing Director Sui Southern Gas Company, Managing Director Pakistan State Oil, Managing Director Pakistan Petroleum Limited, Chairman Pakistan National Shipping Corporation and other relevant officials.
