HYDERABAD, Aug 28 (APP): Hyderabad Electric Supply Company (HESCO) on Friday launched a grand operation against electricity theft and defaulters in various areas of the citizen sub-division.
On the directives of HESCO Chief Executive Officer Faizullah Dahri, the operation was conducted under the supervision of XEN Qasimabad Asadullah Pirzada. SDO Citizen Aftab Ahmed along with his team, carried out action against power thieves and consumers with outstanding dues at various locations.
According to HESCO spokesperson Saadiq Kubbar, several illegal electricity connections were disconnected during the operation, while strict action was also taken against consumers who failed to clear their outstanding dues.
XEN Qasimabad Asadullah Pirzada said electricity theft was causing a loss to the national exchequer and HESCO teams would continue indiscriminate action against electricity thieves.
