IRM Smart STEP celebrates graduation of young Christian women

ISLAMABAD, Aug 28 (APP):IRM has celebrated the successful completion of its IRM Smart STEP Digital Marketing & E-Commerce Training Programme through a graduation ceremony titled “The Power of Possibility”, held at the IRM Complex, Islamabad.
The ceremony celebrated a group of young Christian women who successfully completed the fully funded programme, gaining practical, future-ready skills in digital marketing and e-commerce. Many of the graduates come from underprivileged and marginalized backgrounds, including orphaned and vulnerable girls, for whom access to quality digital education and economic opportunities can often remain out of reach.
A key highlight of the ceremony was the sharing of success stories by young women entrepreneurs who had previously completed the programme, said a press release issued here on Friday.
The entrepreneurs spoke about their journeys from acquiring digital skills to launching and growing their own businesses, sharing firsthand experiences of how the training had enabled them to generate income and move towards greater financial independence. They also shared their earnings and business achievements, providing tangible examples of how skills, opportunity, and determination can translate into sustainable livelihoods.
The event was attended by distinguished guests, including senior executives from Oil and Gas Development Company Limited, representatives of the U.S. Embassy, VSO, and Norwegian Church Aid, as well as senior representatives of the Church and Christian community. Their participation highlighted the importance of collective efforts to advance inclusion, skills development, and equal economic opportunities for young people from marginalized communities.
Speakers emphasized the transformative power of education and digital skills in enabling young women to participate meaningfully in the digital economy and build independent livelihoods. The graduates were recognized not only for completing their training but also for their resilience, determination, and commitment to creating better futures for themselves and their families.
“The Power of Possibility” was more than a graduation ceremony; it was a celebration of resilience, human potential, and the impact of providing meaningful opportunities to young women. The event also marked the beginning of a new chapter as another cohort of young Christian women commenced their journey towards skills development, confidence, entrepreneurship, and economic empowerment.
Through IRM Smart STEP, IRM continues to create pathways for young women to transform skills into opportunities, and opportunities into sustainable livelihoods.
