Inspector General of Police (IGP) Abdul Kareem on Thursday took notice of the recovery of bodies of two women and a girl from a pond in Mohalla Chargah area of Dinga, Gujrat, and sought a report from regional police officer (RPO) Gujranwala.

LAHORE, Aug 27 (APP): Inspector General of Police (IGP) Abdul Kareem on Thursday took notice of the recovery of bodies of two women and a girl from a pond in Mohalla Chargah area of Dinga, Gujrat, and sought a report from regional police officer (RPO) Gujranwala.
The IGP directed district police officers (DPO) Gujrat to investigate the incident from all aspects and submit a comprehensive report, stressing that all aspects of the incident should be thoroughly examined.
According to Punjab Police spokesperson, a case regarding the alleged abduction of 21-year-old Urooj, 15-year-old Sadia and two-year-old Fatima was registered on Wednesday.
Senior police officers and forensic teams reached the scene and collected evidence. The bodies were shifted to a hospital for post-mortem examination.
The IGP directed the concerned police officers to ensure a transparent and comprehensive investigation to ascertain the facts and bring those responsible to justice.
