Civil Engineering Team wins MUET Inter-Departmental Volleyball Tournament
HYDERABAD, Aug 27 (APP): The Civil Engineering team won the Inter-Departmental Boys Volleyball Tournament organized by the Directorate of Sports, Mehran University of Engineering and Technology (MUET), Jamshoro, defeating the Mining Engineering team 2-0 in the final.
According to a university spokesperson, the final was played between the Civil Engineering and Mining Engineering teams. The Civil Engineering players displayed an impressive performance and won both sets to clinch the trophy.
Vice Chancellor MUET Prof Dr Tuaha Hussain Ali, Registrar Prof Dr Nasrullah Pirzada, Director Sports Abdul Fattah Kandhir, General Secretary of the Mehran University Teachers Association Engineer Hafiz Arshad Memon and others attended the event.
Speaking on the occasion, Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Tuaha Hussain Ali appreciated the students’ sporting abilities and enthusiasm, saying that such activities play an important role in promoting healthy competition, teamwork and leadership qualities among students.
