CG of Qatar in Karachi calls on Sindh Governor

The Consul General of Qatar in Karachi, Nayef Shaheen Al-Sulaiti, met with the Governor of Sindh, Syed Muhammad Nihal Hashmi, at the Governor’s House on Thursday. 

KARACHI, Aug 27 (APP): The Consul General of Qatar in Karachi, Nayef Shaheen Al-Sulaiti, met with the Governor of Sindh, Syed Muhammad Nihal Hashmi, at the Governor’s House on Thursday.
During the meeting, a detailed exchange of views was held on Pakistan-Qatar bilateral relations, the current regional situation, regional peace and stability, diplomatic cooperation, and the promotion of economic and trade ties.
Governor Nihal Hashmi stated that close diplomatic contacts between Pakistan and Qatar are of paramount importance in the current regional scenario. For sustainable peace in the region, preference must be given to dialogue and diplomacy over the use of force, he said.
He remarked that Pakistan and Qatar are playing a positive role in ensuring regional peace, stability, and the reduction of tensions. Qatar’s diplomatic efforts to end regional tensions and promote dialogue are commendable.
The Governor noted that the brotherly relations between Pakistan and Qatar are based on mutual respect and shared interests, which need to be further strengthened.
He added that there are vast investment opportunities for Qatari investors in Sindh, particularly in Karachi.
Nihal Hashmi stated that Pakistan and Qatar can explore new avenues of cooperation in the sectors of energy, infrastructure, technology, agriculture, food security, and tourism. Pakistan will continue to extend all possible cooperation to promote trade and investment with Qatar, he said.
On this occasion, the Consul General of Qatar, Nayef Shaheen Al-Sulaiti, affirmed that they would continue to cooperate at all levels to further strengthen the brotherly relations between Pakistan and Qatar.
He expressed his commitment to promoting bilateral relations and enhancing cooperation across various sectors.
