GUJRAT, Aug 27 (APP): Managing Director WASA Gujrat Kashan Hafeez Butt on Thursday visited Jail Chowk Disposal Station to review arrangements for drainage ahead of forecast rains from August 27 to 29.
According to an official source, the MD inspected the operational condition of the disposal station, machinery, pumps and other essential equipment and reviewed field preparedness for prompt drainage and emergency response during rainfall.
Sub-Engineer Luqman briefed the MD on the operational status of the disposal station and arrangements made to cope with the expected rains.
Kashan Hafeez Butt said WASA field teams and machinery would remain fully alert during the rains to provide maximum possible relief to citizens by ensuring timely drainage.
He directed the concerned staff to ensure the smooth functioning of machinery and pumps and remain prepared to respond promptly to any emergency situation.
