Renowned calligrapher presents DG FDA captivating piece of Islamic calligraphy

Renowned calligrapher Qamar Sultan, recipient of the Presidential Award for Pride of Performance and internationally acclaimed for his artistic excellence, has presented a beautiful and aesthetically captivating piece of Islamic calligraphy to Director General (DG) Faisalabad Development Authority (FDA) Muhammad Asif Chaudhry.

FAISALABAD, Aug 27 (APP): Renowned calligrapher Qamar Sultan, recipient of the Presidential Award for Pride of Performance and internationally acclaimed for his artistic excellence, has presented a beautiful and aesthetically captivating piece of Islamic calligraphy to Director General (DG) Faisalabad Development Authority (FDA) Muhammad Asif Chaudhry.
He called on DG FDA at his office while Additional Director General FDA Qaiser Abas Rind, lawyer and social activist Jamal Tariq, and other members of civil society were also present on the occasion.
Welcoming the distinguished calligrapher, DG FDA Muhammad Asif Chaudhry appreciated Qamar Sultan’s valuable artistic services for the promotion of Islamic calligraphy and paid tribute to his unique talent.
He said that Islamic calligraphy is an important part of our great civilisational, cultural, and spiritual heritage and that its preservation and transmission to future generations is a collective responsibility.
He said that talented artists such as Faisalabad’s Qamar Sultan, who has received awards from various national and international institutions including the Pakistan Armed Forces as well as heads of state of some Islamic countries, are bringing honor to Pakistan at the international level through their art, which is a matter of pride for the country and nation.
His artworks reflect a beautiful blend of Islamic civilization and spirituality, aesthetic beauty and artistic mastery. Such art forms not only preserve our rich cultural heritage but also play an important role in promoting positive, constructive, and spiritual values in society.
Muhammad Asif Chaudhry said that providing a conducive environment for the promotion of fine arts, cultural activities, and creative talent in Faisalabad is an important need of the hour.
He expressed his commitment that FDA would extend all possible cooperation to relevant institutions, artists, and literary and cultural circles for the beautification of the city, preservation of its cultural identity, and promotion of positive and constructive activities.
On the occasion, renowned calligrapher Qamar Sultan thanked the DG FDA and said that appreciation and encouragement of great art forms such as Islamic calligraphy not only motivates artists but also helps foster a sense of attachment among the younger generation to this unique and dignified art.
