Governor welcomes approval of new South Air Routes from Peshawar
PESHAWAR, Aug 26 (APP): Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Faisal Karim Kundi on Wednesday welcomed the approval of South Air’s operations on the Peshawar-Quetta and Peshawar-Lahore routes, describing the development as good news for the people of the province, particularly residents of Peshawar.
In a message, the Governor expressed gratitude to the Pakistan Aviation Authority for approving the new routes, saying the decision would improve air connectivity and facilitate passengers travelling between the provincial capital and other major cities.
Kundi also thanked South Air for launching flights on the Peshawar-Quetta and Peshawar-Lahore sectors in response to his request, and said the initiative would provide greater travel convenience to the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The Governor said flights from Dera Ismail Khan and Chitral airports would also be launched in the near future. He added that South Air had assured him that operations from both airports would commence soon after the induction of new aircraft into its fleet.
He expressed hope that the expansion of domestic air services would promote regional connectivity, facilitate trade and tourism, and provide improved travel opportunities for the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
