ISLAMABAD, Aug 26 (APP):Federal Minister for Planning, Development and Special Initiatives Professor Ahsan Iqbal on Wednesday expressed deep grief and sorrow over the deaths of 14 newborn infants in a fire incident at the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS).
In a statement, the minister said the news of the deaths of 14 innocent children in the tragic fire incident at PIMS was heartbreaking.
He extended his heartfelt condolences to the parents and families of the deceased children, praying for strength and patience for them to bear the irreparable loss.
Ahsan said that, as directed by Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, strict action would be taken against those found responsible for negligence in the tragic incident.
He prayed to Allah Almighty to give the bereaved families patience and courage to bear the loss.
