RAWALPINDI, Aug 24 (APP):A local court has sentenced a drug supplier to nine years in prison and imposed a fine of Rs80,000.
According to a police spokesperson, the convict, identified as Aamir, was arrested by Gujar Khan police in 2023 after 2.26 kilograms of hashish (charas) were recovered from his possession.
Following an investigation, police presented evidence before the court. The prosecution subsequently secured the conviction and sentence.
The Rawalpindi Police said they would continue taking measures to curb drug trafficking and conduct operations against individuals involved in the illegal drug trade.
