FWCCI election process moves ahead with 16 candidates for 16 seats

FAISALABAD, Aug 24 (APP):The election process for Faisalabad Women Chamber of Commerce & Industry (FWCCI) for 2026-28 has entered its next phase after 16 nomination papers were filed for an equal number of vacant seats, setting the stage for an uncontested election if all candidates are declared eligible.

According to the election details, eight candidates have submitted nomination papers for eight seats of the Corporate Class. They are Qurrat-ul-Ain of ITHM College (Pvt) Ltd, Mahwish Zara Khan of Bird View Logic (Pvt) Ltd, Zarqa Tariq of Adarman Industries (Pvt) Ltd, Zeb-un-Nisa of Nimra Textile Mill (Pvt) Ltd, Rabia Kashif of H.A.R Textile Mill (Pvt) Ltd, Sania Arshad of Sahil Ltd, Ayesha Javed of Asad Textiles (Pvt) Ltd and Sadaf Shaukat of Sitara Labels (Pvt) Ltd.

Similarly, eight candidates have filed nomination papers for the eight seats reserved for the Associate Class. They included Kanwal Saeed of Ibrahim Technical Training Institute, Samia Tahir of Mubashir Weaving Factory, Huma Farrukh of Usman Weaving Factory, Rukhsana Kausar of Rukhsana Kausar MRS, Tahniyat Tanveer of Tahniyat Enterprises, Ameena Umar of R-Net Baskets, Nosheen Zahra of Murad Agro Farm and Hafiza Ayesha of Masir Apparel Textile LLC.

Members of the Election Commission — Tasgheera Tajammal, Zeb-un-Nisa and Suneela Sharif — said that scrutiny of the nomination papers would be conducted on August 25, 2026 in accordance with the announced election schedule.
