PTA organizes awareness session on district-level licensing

ISLAMABAD, Aug 24 (APP):The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA), Zonal Office Faisalabad, organized an awareness session on Class Licensing for Internet Services at District Level at the Arts Council, Sargodha.
The session was aimed at ensuring broader participation and effective engagement with industry stakeholders, including existing licensees and prospective license applicants. The session was attended by more than 300 participants.
The session provided an opportunity for direct interaction between PTA and stakeholders involved in the internet service provisioning ecosystem.
PTA officials briefed the participants on the existing licensing regime, salient features of Class License for Internet Services at District Level, applicable regulatory requirements and compliance obligations.
A detailed Q&A session was also held, where PTA officials addressed participants’ queries regarding the licensing process and compliance requirements.
The participants appreciated PTA’s initiative and highlighted the importance of direct engagement between the regulator and industry stakeholders.
Prospective license applicants, in particular, appreciated the opportunity to interact directly with PTA and gain a better understanding of the licensing process and applicable regulatory requirements.
The initiative reflects PTA’s continued commitment to stakeholder facilitation, regulatory compliance, promotion of lawful telecom operations and strengthening engagement with the telecom industry across Pakistan.
