RAWALPINDI, Aug 24 (APP):The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF)on Monday conducted four operations in different cities across the country, apprehending two suspects and recovering 1,043.5 kilograms(kg) of drugs worth over Rs 847 million.
According to an ANF spokesman, during an international drug interdiction operation at Maripur, Karachi, 33.5 kg of ice was recovered from two containers destined for Malaysia.
During an inter-provincial drug interdiction operation near the Motorway Toll Plaza, Rawalpindi, ANF officials seized 6 kg of hashish from a passenger’s bag and arrested the accused.
In domestic drug interdiction operations, 4 kg of hashish was recovered from an individual near a bus terminal in Gulshan-e-Iqbal, Karachi.
In another operation near Yaro, District Pishin, ANF recovered 1,000 kg of hashish (Garda) concealed in bushes.
Cases have been registered under the Control of Narcotic Substances Act, 1997 (CNSA-1997), and further investigation is underway.
