ISLAMABAD, Aug 23 (APP):Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Operations, Qazi Ali Raza on Sunday pushed for timely completion of the modern Capital Patrol Unit (CPU) Headquarters to strengthen patrolling, improve emergency response and enhance operational capacity, as he inspected ongoing construction work at the facility and Shalimar Police Station.
An Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) Police official told APP  that the SSP Qazi visited Shalimar Police Station and CPU Headquarters and carried out a detailed inspection of the construction and renovation work.

During the visit, Qazi received a briefing from the concerned officers on the different stages of construction, quality of work, progress achieved so far and the timeline set for completion.
He directed the officers to complete the projects within the stipulated timeframe and according to high construction standards, while ensuring regular monitoring at every stage.
The SSP Qazi made it clear that unnecessary delay or negligence would not be tolerated and directed officials to complete all work under coordinated planning.
He stressed that there should be no compromise on construction quality, while all technical and safety requirements must be strictly followed during execution of the projects.
Highlighting the importance of the Capital Patrol Unit, Qazi said the CPU was a key operational arm of ICT Police, playing an important role in protecting citizens, patrolling major roads, responding quickly to emergencies and preventing crime.
He said a modern headquarters would further strengthen the unit’s operational capacity and enable its personnel to provide more effective, prompt and quality police services to citizens.
The SSP directed the concerned officers to utilise all available resources for timely completion of the projects while maintaining the required standards.
Qazi  said ICT Police was continuously working to improve its infrastructure and operational capabilities to ensure effective policing, quicker response and better public service delivery across the federal capital.
