ISLAMABAD, Aug 23 (APP):The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Anti-Human Trafficking Circle (AHTC) Rawalpindi arrested a suspect in a Rs 1.2 million Poland work visa fraud case, while efforts were underway to apprehend his alleged accomplice.
An FIA official told APP on Sunday that the arrested accused was identified as Ehsanullah son of Sajjad Gul, against whom a case had been lodged following an investigation into the visa fraud.
The investigation revealed that Ehsanullah, and his alleged accomplice Zeeshan Abbasi, son of Noor-ur-Rehman had jointly received Rs 1.2 million, through cash and bank transactions, from complainants Atif Ali, son of Sharafat Hussain and Khurram Shehzad, son of Riazat Khan.
The official said the money was allegedly obtained on the promise of arranging Poland work visas for the complainants, but the accused failed to provide the visas as promised.
A case has been registered under Sections 18 and 22 of the Emigration Ordinance, 1979.
The FIA said efforts were underway to arrest Zeeshan Abbasi, while further investigation into the case was being conducted by Inspector Humaira Arbab of AHTC Rawalpindi.
