FUUAST holds first alumni gathering, announces formation of Alumni Association
KARACHI, Aug 21 (APP):The Federal Urdu University of Arts, Science and Technology (FUUAST) hosted its first Alumni Gathering and Dinner in honour of its former students, bringing together alumni, faculty members, Senate members and distinguished guests.
The ceremony was presided over by Vice Chancellor, Professor Dr. Zabta Khan Shinwari, while renowned businessman and Senate member Saeedullah Wala and Senate member and former Vice Chancellor of NED University, Professor Dr. Sarosh Hashmat Lodi, attended as guests of honour. The event was moderated by Adviser Student Affairs Dr. Saadia Khalil.
Addressing the gathering, Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Zabta Khan Shinwari announced that an Alumni Association is being established to provide the university’s former students with an organised platform, with chapters to be established at different campuses.
He urged alumni to contribute to the university’s development not only through financial support but also by sharing their time, experience, professional expertise and networks with the university and its current students. Successful alumni, he said, can guide students in their practical careers, business, technology, sports, research and other fields.
