Suthra Punjab DG vows action against negligence in cleanliness arrangements

LAHORE, Aug 21 (APP): Suthra Punjab Authority Director General Umer Javed is closely monitoring cleanliness arrangements across the province to ensure better sanitation facilities for citizens.
According to a press release issued here on Friday, besides monitoring cleanliness through a digital dashboard, Umer Javed is also conducting surprise field visits to personally review sanitation arrangements.
To ensure implementation of the Punjab Chief Minister’s instructions, DG Umer Javed conducted surprise visits to Pattoki and Chunian to review sanitation arrangements. He found poor cleanliness arrangements in Madina Colony, Pattoki, Rosa Tibba and Chunian and ordered the suspension of the field monitoring officers concerned.
Explanations were also sought from the Managing Director Kasur and District Manager Kasur over poor cleanliness arrangements in Pattoki and Chunian.
Show-cause notices were issued to the Tehsil Managers of Pattoki and Chunian over their poor performance.
Suthra Punjab Authority DG Umer Javed said providing the same standard of cleanliness in urban and rural areas was a top priority in line with the Punjab Chief Minister’s directions.
He directed officers to remain present in the field and personally ensure proper cleanliness arrangements. He said negligence and carelessness in the performance of duties would not be tolerated.
DG Umer Javed said providing the best cleanliness facilities to citizens across the province was the authority’s top priority, adding that surprise visits would continue across Punjab to ensure better cleanliness arrangements.
