SP Potohar reviews crime situation, stresses better law-and-order, public service delivery
RAWALPINDI, Aug 21 (APP):Superintendent of Police SP Potohar Chaudhry Asar Ali reviewed crime situation and law-and-order measures at a meeting held here on Friday.
SDPOs and Station House Officers (SHOs) of the Potohar Division participated in the meeting.
SP reviewed the progress of individual under-investigation cases and issued instructions to officers for their timely resolution.
Chaudhry Asar Ali directed senior officers to ensure daily follow-up and monitoring of investigations into murder and other serious cases.
He instructed officers to conclude pending cases strictly on the basis of facts and clear the backlog of challans.
The SP also ordered police to intensify operations against Proclaimed Offenders (POs) and their facilitators.
He directed officers to include previously convicted or record-holding suspects in investigations into robbery, dacoity and theft cases and keep a close watch on them.
He further instructed police officials to give priority to resolving the grievances of citizens visiting police stations.
The Potohar SP said maintaining law and order and ensuring justice for citizens were the foremost responsibilities of the police, adding that all available resources were being utilized in this regard.
