World Context, Multinet Pakistan team up to build data infrastructure

ISLAMABAD, Aug 20 (APP):World Context, a startup developing real-world visual data for the global robotics industry, has partnered with Multinet Pakistan to provide secure infrastructure for storing, managing and transferring its growing computer vision datasets.
According to a press released issued on Thursday, the partnership brings together World Context’s data collection operations with Multinet Pakistan’s enterprise-grade cloud, data centre, fiber and networking infrastructure.
World Context CEO Sherdil Ali Khan said the company was building a physical data layer on top of Pakistan’s existing industrial infrastructure and aimed to develop what could become the country’s largest computer vision datasets.
He said real-world visual data required secure storage and reliable transfer systems, particularly as such datasets were being supplied to advanced artificial intelligence and robotics companies and research institutions in the United States and other countries.
“Data is delicate and cumbersome; it must be stored and transited deliberately and with scientific protocol,” Khan said, adding that Multinet’s infrastructure would support the company as it deployed sensors and mapped local industries.
He said the initiative was aimed at placing Pakistan within the emerging global “superintelligence supply chain”, which includes computing, data, AI models and applications.
Multinet Pakistan CEO Adnan Zaidi said the next generation of intelligent systems would depend on high-quality data, reliable infrastructure and the ability to securely manage and transfer data at scale.
He said the partnership marked an important step in connecting Pakistan with the emerging global value chain for robotics and artificial intelligence.
“Multinet’s role extends beyond connectivity to providing the secure and reliable infrastructure that enables organizations to build, process, and exchange the data powering the technologies of tomorrow,” Zaidi said.
Under the partnership, Multinet will provide the storage, security and data communication infrastructure required to process and deliver World Context’s datasets to robotics companies and research teams in the US and other markets.
The collaboration is expected to strengthen Pakistan’s role in the global AI and robotics ecosystem by connecting local industrial data with international technology companies and research institutions.
