12 rescued safely in three rain-related incidents in Rawalpindi

RAWALPINDI, Aug 20 (APP): Rescue 1122 teams safely rescued 12 people in three separate rain-related emergency incidents reported in Rawalpindi, with no loss of life.

According to Rescue 1122, three people were rescued at Hakla Interchange, five in Shahbagh, and four in Kharkan village. All the rescued individuals were shifted to safe locations.

The Rescue 1122 said rainfall had stopped at all nine rain gauges in the district. The water level at Katarian was recorded at seven feet and was continuing to recede, while the water level at Gawalmandi stood at four feet and was also declining. The water level in Nullah Lai remained below the pre-alert level.

Rescue 1122 urged citizens to avoid crossing streams and drains and keep children away from drains and electricity poles. Citizens were advised to immediately contact Rescue 1122 in case of any emergency.
